Joe Biden has never been the most ambitious politician, but not even I knew how much he loved being lazy.
During a break in Thursday’s health care summit, Biden shared his views on the vice presidency. What he didn’t know was that his mic was still on and broadcasting his every word.

VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: It’s easy to be vice president, you don’t have to do anything. It’s like being the grandpa and not the parent. Yeah, that’s it!

I hope the vice president enjoys the rest of his White House vacation.
I think I would rather have him doing nothing than putting those liberal ideals and ideas he has into practice.
Health Care Showdown
Joe Biden’s hot mic wasn’t the only problem that Democrats ran into Thursday’s health care summit. Facts also seemed to pose difficulty for them. That was particularly evident in the president’s exchange with Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander.

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: So, Lamar, when you mentioned earlier that you said premiums go up, that’s just not the case according to the Congressional Budget Office.
SENATOR LAMAR ALEXANDER, R-TENN.: Mr. President, if you’re going to contradict me, I ought to have a chance to — the Congressional Budget Office report says that premiums will rise in the individual market as a result of the Senate bill.
OBAMA: No, no, no, no. Let me — and this is an example of where we got to get our facts straight.
ALEXANDER: That’s my point.

A look back at that CBO report commissioned by Indiana Democrat Evan Bayh shows that it is the president who needs to get his facts straight. The report concludes, “The average premium per person covered would be about 10 to 13 percent higher in 2016 than the average premium for non-group coverage in that same year under the current law.”
Wow, what a great bill. No wonder the Democrats are obscuring the facts.
Rangel Reprimanded
Thursday, after it was revealed he had broken several House ethics rules, New York Congressman Charlie Rangel took to the microphones and attempted to defend himself. He had a very clear and simple strategy: Throw anyone and everyone under the bus in order to save himself.

REP. CHARLIE RANGEL, D-N.Y., HOUSE WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN: Common sense dictates that members of Congress should not be held responsible for what could be the wrongdoing or mistakes or errors of staff. So, asking me questions would just embarrass me because I can’t give you answers.

Congressman, if you are not embarrassed yet, I don’t know what to tell you.
And Speaker Pelosi, I know you are watching. It appears that swamp in Washington has not been drained yet.
Read the Report!
Another developing scandal is rocking the United Nations’ Climate Change Panel known as the IPCC.
You may remember in January, the IPCC retracted its ridiculous claim that the Himalayan glaciers would disappear by 2035. Now we are hearing exactly how this report made it through the U.N.’s review process in the first place.
You see, there was no review process. According to the blog NotEvilJustWrong.com, a senior member of the IPCC has now admitted that he never bothered reading the report. Pat Finnegan revealed this information in a recent debate explaining he did not have time to read all of it because “it was over 1800 pages long.”
Sounds like this guy would make a great congressman. Maybe he should run.
